Hi, I'm Emily!
I'm a holistic health and life coach, yoga instructor and wellness enthusiast based in Brooklyn, New York.
My wellness journey started 10 years ago during my days as a busy CPA working for a Big 4 public accounting firm. To help combat the stress of a fast paced corporate job, I found my way to yoga and healthy food and pretty quickly knew this was the thing I wanted to share with the world. After completing a yoga teacher training and becoming a Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I know it was time to go all in.
I quit my corporate job to pursue health coaching and yoga full time and started my blog to share all things health and wellness with my community.
More than any title or certification, there are two important things you should know about me:
I LOVE to learn, and then teach others what I know.
I believe that health is a result of SO much more than just food.
What started as a place to share my favorite recipes expanded to encompass all aspects of wellness and personal development, which reflected my own journey in realizing that true health and happiness comes from so much more than just food.
You likely already know this on some level. I thought I did too, when I started my personal development journey. But what I didn’t realize was just how much the “other things” in life play a part in the wellness of your mind, body and soul. That there’s truly so much more to health (and to life) than kale, quinoa and savasana.
So yes, on this website you’ll find healthy recipes (always have loved food, still do), but you’ll also find tips, tools and resources to get to know and take better care of ALL parts of you.

While I find writing on my blog and posting on social media to be the most effective way to reach the most people, I also do a small amount of 1:1 coaching and select speaking engagements.

Currently I’m into –
astrology, tarot and crystals – All the so called "woo woo" stuff. I don't think tarot cards or your zodiac sign is going to predict your future, but these are great ways to get to know yourself and reflect.
Ayurveda – Discovering how to keep my digestion happy and healthy will forever be something I'm working on and recently I'm into the foods and mindful eating practices taught by the ancient science of Ayurveda.
talk therapy – Mental health is just as important as physical health my friends.
fermentation science projectS – Check out this blog post for more on WHY fermented foods are so good for you, plus how to start adding them into your diet: Fermented Foods 101
